How to Grind Whole Wheat flour at home?

  1. Take wheat grain in a bowl, make sure those are clean without any stones and sand particles
  2. Whole grain kernels will keep at room temperature indefinitely
  3. 1 cup of wheat berries produces a scant 1 3/4 cups flour.
  4. Pour the wheat grains into the hopper of Haystar Automatic Flour Mill

  7. Turn on the machine a siren will start, once you pour the grain in hopper machine will start grinding automatically.
  8. Let the grain get finished from the hopper and wait for machine to stop on its own.
  9. Open the main door and slide the container outside to get fresh flour.

What is atta chakki ?


It is an home based grinding machine used extensively for getting  homemade flour of all types of grain. There are various types of atta  chakki (flour mill)used at home, one is manual and the other one is automatic 


How atta chakki (gharghanti) is used ?

 

Manual atta chakki is based of two circular shaped stones kept on one  another (see pic). It has a hole in center to pour grain at regular  intervals during the rotation of the stone.Grinding is done by rotating upper stone with the help of wooden rod in  clock wise directions.In the process crushed grain in the form of flour keeps spreading from the other circular edges. 

Automatic atta chakki is an box type machine fitted into an wooden  like cabinet which has small grinder chamber for crushing of grain(see  pic). This chamber is attached with electric motor at the back.It has an  hopper to pour the grain as required which keeps feeding into the  grinder chamber at regular intervals automatically. This machine has automatic sensors and controller to detect grain and adjust the speed of  grain input.
